CIPL flasher was meant for only and some models. Sony patched this with newer motherboard versions. If your PSP is a newer version you will only be able to install Infinity. If it is an older version you can use cIPL flasher. If this worries you, please follow the steps to install Infinity 2. If it says TAv3 you can only use Infinity 2. Another way to double check if looking at the sticker in your battery slot for a Date Code.
Use the apps above to double check. Pro and LME are very similar. Choose one to download and download Infinity. Exit USB mode after transferring the files over. To install the custom firmware press X. Once the PSP restarts, check in the system information page on your PSP and confirm you see the system software version along with the custom firmware version after it. Pandora's the best way to get higher CFW. But if you want OFW, you'll have to run a key cleaner to unpatch keys. Chilly Willy's key cleaner. THIS is what i'm talking about. The old CFW's used to patch keys so this will fix or repair your keys. But your still gonna need pandoras to get higher CFW. So heres the new scenerio.. Got that key cleaner and had no idea how the heck to work it! So i got recovery files from someone on this forum.
